Okay, so I don’t really remember the melody/lyrics to “Love Machine”, but we’re all better not knowing, right?
I saw this post on Whip-Up, and I had to try it out for myself. The original artist is named Lisa McGovern, and I am highly impressed with her collage work. It’s actually hard to be simplistic in collage, but she makes it very refined. I ended up going nuts with mine.
Boy oh boy. I do love it, though. I’ll list materials used:
-burlap (backing)
-sandollar scrapbooking paper
-scrapbooking stickers that look like masking tape and have romantical words printed on them
-buttons from dollar store
-red metallic thread
-random scrapbooking paper in blues and tans
-paper doily hearts.
-various blue ribbons
-red crochet thread (cross-stitched and knitted).
-handmade paper.
-metal cross (we are religious!)
-ickle teensy brads
-feather butterfly
-one glass bead
-cream colored ribbon
-robin’s egg blue paint
-metallic platinum paint
-red paint (all paints are ack!rylic)
This took me three long days to craft. Actually, compared to knitting, it was a short project!!
The original artist’s site is: and it is a tutorial. I don’t do instructions, so I just looked at the photo and made it my own, to give to my sweetheart, my husband.
that’s gorgeous, doll. i wanna try!
